The mission of the Leland High School library program is to prepare students to be lifelong learners and effective global citizens. Students are encouraged to be enthusiastic and detailed readers, critical thinkers, proper communicators, and ethical users of a variety of information formats. This is accomplished by:
· Providing instruction in information literacy
· Creating a school-wide culture of reading for both pleasure and information
· Supporting the school’s curriculum and literacy initiatives
· Providing a wealth of both print and technology resources
· Promoting local and national library programming, activities, and recognitions
Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants donated their Centennial History book to LHS.
